| Texas Alligator Lizards (Gerrhonotus infernalis) - these are among the coolest lizards in Texas. Unlike their western relatives, Texas Alligator Lizards rapidly calm down and make docile captives. Unfortunately, we have yet to work out the details for successfully breeding this species. |

| Southern Alligator Lizards (Elgaria multicarinata) - these large alligator lizards range in color from greenish to reddish. They are voracious feeders, and make very interesting captives. Like the Texas Alligator Lizards, we have yet to work out the details for successfully breeding this species. |
